Mitsubishi Aircraft has fleshed out the maintenance strategy for its MRJ regional jet by signing agreements with three MRO providers.
Letters of intent have been inked with Pemco and HAECO Americas in the United States, and with ANA-subsidiary MRO Japan in its home country.
The providers were selected based on sales of the MRJ thus far, and will be recommended to Mitsubishi’s customers as preferred support shops.
“Through collaborative efforts with these three companies during flight test and in advance of entry into service, we will reinforce and enhance our customer support network and infrastructure,” says Peter Turner, deputy head of customer support, Mitsubishi Aircraft.
The manufacturer should sign definitive agreements with the three companies soon, and expects to name further MRO participants as the MRJ programme progresses.
