MTU Pens Garuda Indonesia CF34 Engine MRO Contract

MTU Maintenance has signed a five-year agreement to service Garuda Indonesia’s fleet of CF34-8C5 engines.

MTU Maintenance has signed a five-year agreement to service Garuda Indonesia’s fleet of CF34-8C5 engines.

Under the terms of the contract, the German MRO will cover 30 to 40 shop visits with services also including the provision of lease engines.

All work on the engine type, which powers the flag carrier’s fleet of 18 Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft, will be carried out at MTU’s facility at Berlin-Brandenburg airport.

MTU holds capabilities for all variants of the CF34 engine family, having begun services on the model in 2003.
