Parker Aerospace’s MRO joint venture (JV) with the Aviation Industry of China (AVIC) has commenced operations in China at its facility in Xi’an.

Parker FACRI, which was recently granted both FAA 145 and CAAC 145 certifications, will now provide support for flight control, hydraulic, fuel, and inerting equipment from the site.

The China facility localises Parker’s support for Chinese airlines, with the firm having previously working with customers from its MRO centres in the US and Singapore.

Pui Ho, Parker’s vice-president and regional general manager for Asia-Pacific, said: “Our Chinese customers will no longer encounter the challenges that result from needing to export and import repairs.”
