US conversion specialist Precision Aircraft Solutions (PAS) has signed a contract to carry out a 757-200 passenger-to-freighter conversion for San Francisco-based lessor Vx Capital Partners.

PAS said work will begin later this month at the HAECO Americas facility in Greensboro, North Carolina and it expects the conversion to be completed by Q4.

Vx, which leases commercial aircraft and engines, currently operates a fleet of six 737s.

Eric Adema, principal of Vx, said it made the decision to covert the 757 due to high demand in the aircraft’s weight and volume class.
