Pemco World Air Services has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with European-based aviation asset management company Vallair for a 737-400 passenger-to-freighter (PTF) conversion.

The MoU marks the first PEMCO-converted aircraft for Vallair. Tampa-based PEMCO said the 737-400 aircraft features 11 pallet positions, up to 48,000 pounds of payload, and 4,600 cubic feet of total volume.

The aircraft will arrive in Jinan Shandong, China later this month where the conversion work will be carried out by PEMCO’s Chinese partner STAECO.

Redelivery of the converted narrowbody is scheduled for September.
