Qantas is planning to refurbish its entire fleet of 737-800 aircraft in an effort to provide customers with a greater level of comfort and enhanced inflight entertainment.

Scheduled to commence from mid-2015, the multi-million dollar upgrade of 67 aircraft is expected to be completed within 12 months.

Qantas domestic CEO Lyell Strambi confirmed: “While 29 of our latest 737-800 aircraft already have full seat back video on-demand inflight entertainment, the refurbishment will see wireless Q-streaming installed on the 38 remaining to supplement the screens that fold down from the ceiling.”
