MTU’s commercial maintenance division increased revenues by 16.6 per cent year-on-year to €347.9m ($439m), a 10 per cent rise from Q2.

The German firm, which makes aircraft engines for Boeing, Airbus and Bombardier, said it expects overall company sales to reach about €3.75bn ($4.8bn) for the year.

In July, Munich-headquartered MTU had reduced its sales forecast for 2014 by €100m ($126m) to €3.65bn ($4.6bn), citing delays in maintenance work for US customers.
