A rundown of the latest airworthiness directives.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia has made minor amendments to Advisory Circular 147-02 on approved Part 147 training organizations.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia has issued Airworthiness Bulletin 25-031 Issue 3, requiring operators to report defects in night vision imaging systems.

EASA

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-0023 for A300-600s, requiring a detailed visual inspection of the upper wing skin and the top stringer joints at Rib 18 and if necessary corrective actions and modifications of the stringer joint couplings at Rib 18 on both wings, effective February 24, 2017

EASA has issued airworthiness directive CF-2017-06 for Bombardier CL-600-2B19, CL-600-2C10, CL-600-2D15 and CL-600-2D24, requiring modification of the wiring harness for the yaw damper in accordance with applicable Service Bulletins, effective February 14, 2017.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-0024 for Pilatus PC-12s, requiring amendment of the applicable Aircraft Flight Manual, effective February 27, 2017.

EASA airworthiness directive 2016-0112 has been superseded by 2017-0029 for A350s, requiring performance of all applicable maintenance tasks before exceeding the applicable thresholds specified in Airworthiness Limitations Sections and other actions, effective March 1, 2017.

EASA airworthiness directive 2016-0111 has been superseded by 2017-0027 for A350s, requiring performance of all applicable maintenance tasks before exceeding the applicable thresholds specified in another part of Airworthiness Limitations Sections and other actions, effective March 1, 2017.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-0030 for A350s, requiring replacement of components before exceeding the applicable life limits, effective March 1, 2017.

EASA has revised proposed airworthiness directive 17-021R1 for certain A300s, requiring Inspection, replacement or modification of fuel pump canister hoods, effective two weeks after the airworthiness directive is issued.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive CF-2017-07 for Bombardier Inc. model CL-600-2B16s, 604 variant, serial numbers 5301 through 5665, 5701 through 5990, 6050 through 6062 and 6066, dealing with cold weather operations and introduction of a low temperature ground wing anti-ice system, effective February 22, 2017.

EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 17-023 for certain CFM56-5s and- 5Bs, requiring replacement of fuel and control hydro-mechanical units after limits are reached, effective 14 days after the airworthiness directive is issued.

FAA

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-02-09 for certain 747-400s, -400Ds, and -400Fs, requiring repetitive inspections of the fuselage crown skin inner surface and related investigative and corrective actions if necessary, effective March 17, 2017.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-02-10 for certain 737-600s, -700s, -700Cs, -800s and -900s, reducing inspection threshold and repetitive inspection intervals for cracking of the skin around the fasteners common to the ends of certain bulkhead chords, effective March 17, 2017.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-02-08 for certain A300s and A300 B4-600s, B4-600Rs and F4-600Rs, and A300 C4-605R Variant Fs, reducing inspection thresholds and intervals for corrosion of the lower wing root joint and related investigative and corrective actions if necessary, effective March 17, 2017.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-02-03 for certain 767-200s, -300s and -400ERs, requiring general visual inspection of the spray shield and related investigative and corrective actions if necessary, effective March 16, 2017.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-03-02 for all RB211 Trent 768-60s, 772-60s and 772B-60s requiring initial and repetitive ultrasonic inspections of affected low-pressure compressor blades with reduced inspection thresholds, effective March 22, 2017.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2017-02-02 for 737-100s, -200s and -200Cs, requiring new fuselage skin inspections for cracking, inspections to detect missing or loose fasteners and any dis-bonding or cracking of bonded doublers, permanent repairs of time-limited repairs and other actions, effective March 23, 2017.

The FAA is correcting airworthiness directive 2017-01-09 for certain 767-300s and 767-300Fs only because certain service information citations in the preamble and regulatory text are incorrect, effective February 21, 2017.
