Republic Signs New Heavy MRO Deal With Embraer

Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS) has won a three-year extension of its heavy maintenance contract with Republic Airways.

Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS) has won a three-year extension of its heavy maintenance contract with Republic Airways.

Under the deal, which was originally signed in 2011, EAMS will continue to provide airframe maintenance, modifications and repair services at its 10-hangar facility in Nashville, Tennessee.

Republic operates one of the largest E-Jet fleets in the world, comprising 178 E170, E175 and E190 aircraft.

In a separate announcement Embraer confirmed that Compass Airlines had extended its 10-year parts pool support agreement to cover a further 20 E175 aircraft which will be operated for American Airlines under the American Eagle brand.

The deal now covers a total of 62 E170 and E175 aircraft.
