The Brazillian arm of avionics manufacturer Rockwell Collins is to double the size of its service centre in São José dos Campos.

The site provides maintenance services for commercial and military avionics equipment alongside supplying new components to OEMs such as Embraer.

The 40-year old facility already counts Aerolineas, Aeromexico, Avianca, COPA, GOL, LAN, TAM and Volaris among its customers and says the expansion will allow it to secure more support contracts.

Rockwell Collins do Brazil has confirmed that work on the expansion will begin this year.
