Rolls-Royce Wins $580m Vietnam Airlines Contract

Rolls-Royce has signed a $580m TotalCare engine support contract with Vietnam Airlines.

<p><a href="http://mro-network.com/tags/rolls-royce">Rolls-Royce</a> has signed a $580m TotalCare engine support contract with Vietnam Airlines.</p>

<p>Under the terms of the long-term agreement, Rolls-Royce will cover the maintenance of the Trent XWB engines that will power 14 of Vietnam’s A350 aircraft.</p>

<p>The deal was signed on Wednesday (July 29) at an event attended by British Prime Minister David Cameron, who is in South East Asia on a trade mission.</p>

<p>Vietnam, which took delivery of its first A350 in June, also recently signed a <a href="http://mro-network.com/news/2015/07/vietnam-airlines-signs-airbus-fhs-contract/5656">flight hour services contract</a> with Airbus for the aircraft.</p>
