S7 Engineering has carried out its first painting job on an aircraft operated by a carrier from outside the CIS territory.

The Russian MRO, part of the Engineering Holding group, re-delivered a Bombardier CRJ200 to planned Indian regional carrier Zoom Air, scheduled to begin operating by the end of 2016.

For the services, it used a modern edge base coat and clear coat system from supplier Akzo Nobel.

Work was completed at S7’s aircraft painting center located in Mineralnye Vody, where it has carried out painting services for around a dozen Russian carriers.

Earlier this year it also welcomed its first non-Russian airline in the form of Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana, painting its 757-200 aircraft.
