Afghanistan-based Safi Airways has signed component support contract with AFI KLM E&M covering its three A320 family aircraft.

The agreement, which includes repairs and access to a spares pool, is the second Safi has signed with AFI KLM E&M after agreeing a cabin modification contract for one of the A320s earlier this year.

Zaidan Khalifat, CEO of Kabul-headquartered Safi, said having access to the parts pool resource based in Dubai will give the airline improved component support in the Gulf region.
