French engineering and consultancy firm Sogeclair has bought a majority stake in MSB, a Canadian company which provides services to the commercial jet sector.

Sogeclair, which specialises in structural and architectural components of commercial aircraft, has bought 80 per cent of Montreal-based MSB, which focuses on business jet interiors. MSB’s client list includes Bombardier, Embraer and Gulfstream.

The deal will, according to Sogeclair, allow it to expand its reach into the business jet sector, while MSB will benefit from increased finance.

Philippe Robardey, Sogeclair’s CEO, said: “There will be many more opportunities for both companies as a joint force, rather than independent entities.”
