US low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has confirmed it will install the first Airbus competence training (ACT) classroom at its MRO facility in Detroit.

US low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has confirmed it will install the first Airbus competence training (ACT) classroom at its MRO facility in Detroit.

The classroom will be the first ACT in the Americas region and will provide regular training for Spirit’s maintenance technicians.

The ACT offers a combination of theoretical and practical training, which includes maintenance tasks.

In a statement released on Thursday (October 8), Florida-based Spirit confirmed the deal will last for a period of five years.
