SR Technics has completed a cabin modification programme on Swiss leisure carrier Edelweiss Air’s fleet of six A320 aircraft.
Work was carried out at SR Technics’ Zurich facility and included reconfiguring the aircraft cabin layout and replacing seats, galleys and lavatories, while an additional row of seats were added in order to boost Edelweiss’ fleet capacity.
In conjunction with the cabin modifications, SR Technics also added a wireless Panasonic-made in-flight entertainment system to all of the aircraft.
The MRO said it planned the modifications around heavy maintenance inspections some of the aircraft were due to undergo.
Michael Sattler, head of aircraft services at SR Technics, said: “Together with Edelweiss, we designed a cabin which is optimised for leisure flights with additional seat capacity and upgraded in-flight experience. Our engineering and maintenance teams worked in parallel to ensure the each aircraft was delivered on time.”
