SR Technics has signed a long-term agreement with Russia’s S7 Engineering (S7E) to provide aircraft operators in the region with maintenance and on-wing services for CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines.

SR Technics has signed a long-term agreement with Russia’s S7 Engineering (S7E) to provide aircraft operators in the region with maintenance and on-wing services for CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines.

Under the terms of the contract, the Swiss MRO will carry out the services at S7E’s new repair facility at Domodedovo Airport in Moscow, which is due to start operations in summer 2016, along with centres in Novosibirsk and Mineralnye Vody.

SR Technics said the services will reduce costs for local airlines looking for an integrated solution for their engine MRO requirements.

Jeremy Remacha, SR Technics’ interim CEO, said the agreement gives the firm an opportunity to take its growth in the Russia and CIS regions to “the next level”.
