ST Aerospace Q1 2015 Profits Fall 4%

Singapore-based MRO ST Aerospace has reported a drop of four per cent for its Q1 2015 pre-tax profits to SGD 71.4m ($54.2m) from the previous year’s SGD 74.7m ($56.7m).

Revenues at the MRO fell two per cent year on year across its three business arms, with a 13.7 per cent decline reported for its aircraft maintenance and modification business, alongside a 22.7 per cent fall in pre-tax profits.

There was a more positive result for its component engine repair and overhaul arm where revenue was up 2.5 per cent and profits were up six per cent.

Meanwhile, the firm’s engineering and materials service arm posted a 30 per cent increase in revenue and an 87 per cent hike in profits to SGD 17.2m ($13m).
