US-based MRO StandardAero has confirmed a multi-million dollar investment to expand its Winnipeg, Canada facility.
The investment will bring additional stripping and plating processes for a range of materials used for aerospace parts and components.
These include chrome, electroless nickel, sulfamate nickel, cadmium, silver, copper and tin plating.
StandardAero also confirmed it plans to increase the size of its Winnipeg shop, adding additional tanks, optimising product flow, monitoring systems to improve process control and a dedicated R&D line.
It says the expansion, expected to be completed in September, is aimed at reducing repair times and plating process times for customers.
