US-based independent MRO StandardAero has expanded component repair facilities at its site in Winnipeg, Canada.

The changes at the newly renamed SACS-Canada (StandardAero Component Services) site include the addition of new plating facilities that enable the firm to offer a wider range of services for PW2000 and PW4000 engines, alongside providing MRO services on CF34, CFM56, CF6, GE90 and V2500 engines and their components.

The extension of capabilities at StandardAero's Winnipeg site follows an announcement in May of plans to expand its component processing and repair plant (SACS-USA) in Cincinnati by 30,000sq-ft.
