StandardAero Signs Air KBZ PW127M Engine Contract

StandardAero has signed a multi-year contract with Myanmar-based private airline Air KBZ to provide MRO services for the PW127M turboprop engines powering its fleet of three ATR72-600 aircraft.

StandardAero has signed a multi-year contract with Myanmar-based private airline Air KBZ to provide MRO services for the PW127M turboprop engines powering its fleet of three ATR72-600 aircraft.

The contract covers both hot section inspections and overhauls and work will be carried out at the independent MRO’s facility in Winnipeg, Canada.

StandardAero confirmed the deal will run until December 2018.

Rob Cords, president of StandardAero airlines and fleets, said: “Myanmar is an emerging market which is quickly becoming an important business centre in the Southeast Asian region. The level of cooperation we have achieved with Air KBZ has been excellent and we look forward to doing more business together in the future.”
