STG Aerospace has signed a contract with Icelandair to retrofit the airline’s fleet of 767 aircraft with its saf-Tglo SuperSeal UltraLite (SSUL) photoluminescent floorpath lighting.

The contract follows a similar deal for the upgrade of lighting on Icelandair’s 757 fleet, with UK-based STG Aerospace also providing its SSUL solution on the carrier’s order of 12 737MAX aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2018.

Thordur Sigfusson, Icelandair’s CVE structures and interior and programme manager, said: “After working with STG Aerospace for some 13 years, we have come to appreciate not only the high reliability and low maintenance cost of their lighting systems but also the innovation they bring to their product development.”
