STS Aviation Launches Modifications Center In Florida

Maintenance provider establishes new business after it acquired the assets of AeroMod International.

STS Aviation Group has unveiled its new STS Mod Center business in Melbourne, Florida.

The MRO acquired the assets of AeroMod International earlier this year and will operate from a 114,500 square foot hangar to work on commercial and military aircraft modification projects.

Among the work carried out at the site will include in-flight entertainment upgrades and installations, cabin retrofits, GPS and satcom installations and lighting upgrades.

STS said certifications for the hangar are already in place and include FAA 145, EASA 145 and ANAC 145 approvals.

PJ Anson, CEO of STS Aviation Group, said: “STS Aviation Group is continuing its high-growth strategy, and with the addition of this new hangar facility, we now have the ability to perform a variety of avionics and structural aircraft modification services for airline, leasing companies and OEM customers both at our new Melbourne facility or on-site at their location.”
