STS Line Maintenance has opened a new line maintenance station in Nassau where it will offer on-call and scheduled aircraft services to all aircraft at every airport in the Bahamas.

STS Line Maintenance has opened a new line maintenance station in Nassau where it will offer on-call and scheduled aircraft services to all aircraft at every airport in the Bahamas.

The facility, which will be operated 24 hours a day, seven days a week, will be staffed by technicians who hold FAA certification as airframe and powerplant mechanics.

The station will also have capacity to store spare aircraft parts on property, which STS said will increase overall customer cost-savings.

Mark Smith, group president of parent company STS Aviation Group, said the access to skills in the region was a factor in the company choosing Nassau as a location.

“Many of our clients reached out and asked us to seek a solution to their line maintenance needs in the Bahamas, and with the new Nassau station located only 45 minutes by air from our headquarters in Jensen Beach, Florida, it made perfect sense,” he added.
