SWISS Signs Up For Bombardier CSeries Component Support

SWISS International Air Lines has entered into 10-year agreement for Bombardier’s Smart Parts components support programme for its incoming fleet of 30 CSeries aircraft.

SWISS International Air Lines has entered into 10-year agreement for Bombardier’s Smart Parts components support programme for its incoming fleet of 30 CSeries aircraft.

SWISS, which is the launch customer for the aircraft and Bombardier's parts support programme, will receive full component MRO services along with access to a spare part exchange pool and an on-site inventory based at the airline’s main hub in Zurich.

Peter Wojahn, chief technical officer at SWISS, said: “The Smart Parts programme will guarantee part availability and provide us with a cost-effective solution for our component maintenance and spare part requirements.”

SWISS is scheduled to take delivery of the first CS100 aircraft next month which will be followed by more of the aircraft type and CS300s.
