Thailand Emerges As Lead Hub

Thailand has been highlighted as a soon-to-be premier aviation hub, following announcements of a new investment and incentives policy, according to the Thailand government. The country, which serves major aerospace companies in the areas of aircraft parts production and components manufacturing, also provides other functions including maintenance, air transport services, ground-based infrastructure, supply chain activities and other related business areas. In 2003, Thailand did not have a single aircraft maintenance centre, but over the past decade the nation has developed an aircraft and parts market worth more than $1bn.
