Thomas Global Gains EASA Approval

Avionics firm Thomas Global Systems has received Part-145 approval from EASA for its Irvine, California facility

Avionics firm Thomas Global Systems has received Part-145 approval from EASA for its Irvine, California facility, which provides repair and overhaul services on its products.

The certification follows the facility winning FAA approval shortly after it opened 18 months ago.

Thomas Global Systems said the first units produced at the site under the new approval will be delivered to customers this month.

The news of the EASA approval came just weeks after the Australian head-quartered firm announced the launch of a new LCD flight display unit designed for retrofit into the 757 and 767.
