Transaero Signs Up For Trent 1000 And 800 Support

Transaero has signed up for ‘TotalCare’ support from Rolls-Royce for the Trent 1000 engines the airline has just ordered for four 787 aircraft, plus the Trent 800s installed on its eight in-service 777s. The latter agreement is worth $200m. Alexander Krinichansky, executive director, Transaero, described the Trent 1000 engines as “the best solution in terms of fuel efficiency and environmental performance”. He said the ‘TotalCare’ will “maximise aircraft availability for our operations”. Piers Keywood, Rolls-Royce – VP customers - civil large engines, commented, “We are delighted to be part of Transaero's success, and look forward to delivering our world-leading Trent 1000 engines to the first airline in Russia to fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.”
