Turkish Technic has opened a new MRO centre called HABOM at Sabiha Gökçen International, Istanbul. The company invested $550m in the facility, which will offer maintenance and repair capability to Turkish Airlines and third-party customers. There are 55 countries within 3.5 hours flying radius of the site. Turkish Technic expects to employ 7,000 personnel at the site and aims to achieve $1.5bn in annual revenue. The 380,000sq-m facility will be able to provide simultaneous MRO services for 11 narrowbody aircraft and three widebody aircraft.
