United Airlines To Build Widebody Hangar In Newark

United Airlines has broken ground on a new widebody aircraft maintenance hangar at Newark Liberty International Airport. The airline is investing more than $25m in the 90,000ft2 facility, which is due to be completed by the end of 2013. Joe Ferreira, VP of line maintenance, United, said the new site will accommodate more than 700 aviation maintenance technicians.
