VD Gulf Commences Turkish Operator Work

VD Gulf has begun heavy maintenance work on a Boeing 747-400 operated by Turkish airline customer MyCargo Airlines at its Sharjah, UAE facility.

The MyCargo work is VD Gulf’s first with a Turkish operator after the MRO secured approval from the Turkish Civil Aviation authority in late-2016. VD Gulf said the approval to work on Turkey-registered jets “opens another door” to a new region and expands its geographic coverage area.

Mikhail Khoroshaev, VD Gulf drector general, said: “Cooperation with Turkish operators has been, and remains one of the key elements of our company development since Turkey is located within a 4-hour flight range and has proximity advantages.”
