Canadian MRO Vector Aerospace is investing in a new “multi-million dollar” engine test cell for its Summerside facility in Nova Scotia.

The cell, which will support turboprop engines producing up to 5,000 shaft horsepower, will be the facility’s fourth once installed and was financed in partnership with local and federal governments.

Its existing test cells include two dedicated to turboprops and one for turbofans. Vector said the new cell will help expand its test capacity on turboprop engines while minimising turnaround times.
