Vector Opens Singapore MRO Facility

Vector Aerospace opened a new MRO facility in Singapore on Thursday (May 14) to provide overhaul and testing services on Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PW150 turboprop engine used on the Bombardier Q400.

Vector Aerospace opened a new MRO facility in Singapore on Thursday (May 14) to provide overhaul and testing services on Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PW150 turboprop engine used on the Bombardier Q400.

First announced in 2013, Vector said it has invested more than SGD50m ($37.7m) in the 5,200m2 facility which will employ up to 140 staff.

Declan O’Shea, CEO of Vector Aerospace, said: “By locating in the Asia-Pacific region, we are able to provide the owners of PW150 engines and operators of the Q400 with a cost-effective, viable and easily accessible MRO solution, while significantly strengthening our presence in the area.”

To coincide with the opening, Vector has also announced the signing of a three-year memorandum of understanding with the Republic Polytechnic of Singapore to support student technical training.
