WestJet Signs LoI For 65 MAX Aircraft

WestJet has signed a letter of intent (LoI) to buy 65 737 MAX aircraft in a deal worth $6.3bn at list prices. The preliminary order includes 40 737 MAX 8s and 25 737 MAX 7s. The order will allow WestJet to modernise its existing fleet. “Since the very beginning, the Boeing 737 helped play a role in WestJet’s growth and success,” commented Brad McMullen, VP of North America sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “We are pleased to see the 737 MAX will continue the tradition of supporting WestJet’s vision.” Until finalised, the deal will not be listed on Boeing’s Order and Deliveries log.
