Wheel and brake MRO World Aero has gained FAA Part 145 certification for its UK-based facility located near Gatwick Airport.

Following the approval from the regulator which adds to an existing EASA certification, World Aero is now able to carry out MRO services on wheel and brake components for aircraft registered in the US.

Along with wheel and brake component repair, World Aero’s capabilities also include overhaul services, parts sales, parts exchange and inventory management.

Phil Randell, World Aero’s managing director, said FAA certification means the firm can now approach customers with a “totally comprehensive capability”.

“With the expertise and facilities to accommodate growth, we can increase our output with no loss of efficiency, making our work flow and lean processes available to a much wider range of customers,” he said.
