The new A330-300 with a 242-tonne takeoff weight variant has completed certification by both FAA and EASA for all three engine types on offer.

The P&W4000 and Trent 700 were approved last week by the FAA after EASA had granted approval for the engines in April and May respectively.

The CF6-80E engine option was given the green light by both regulators earlier this year.

Airbus also confirmed that the shorter fuselage A330-200 242-tonne model, recently certified by EASA, will be ratified by the FAA in the near future.
