Airbus is to fly its A350 for the first time this Friday (14 June). The aircraft’s maiden flight will take off from Toulouse-Blagnac airport at around 10:00am local time, subject to weather. Flight test teams are carrying out their final checks on the first A350, MSN 1, before the flight on Friday. The aircraft was first powered up with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines on 2 June under test conditions, which went well. The A350 is scheduled for entry-into-service in 2H 2014 and has won 613 firm orders from 33 customers worldwide.
