Airbus has completed paint work on Thai Airways’ first A350 aircraft at its paint shop in Toulouse.

The aircraft is now scheduled to move to the next stages of production, including the installation of engines and cabin furnishing, before commencing ground and flight tests.

The aircraft is scheduled for delivery to Thai in mid-2016 and is part of an order for 12 of the widebody aircraft.

The impending delivery of its first A350 follows reports in January that Thai would look to defer delivery of some of the aircraft along with two 787s as part of a restructuring programme aimed at cutting costs at the loss making airline.
