Airbus Finalises Navtech Acquisition

Airbus has completed the acquisition of Canadian firm Navtech which it said will strengthen its end-to-end flight operations services.

<p>Airbus has completed the acquisition of Canadian firm Navtech which it said will strengthen its end-to-end flight operations services.<p>First announced in December 2015, Airbus now owns 100 per cent of Navtech which offers solutions for electronic flight bags, aeronautical charts, navigation data, flight planning, aircraft performance and crew planning.<p>Mike Hulley, CEO of Navtech, will continue in his role overseeing the company’s operations from its Ontario-headquarters. Didier Lux, head of Airbus customer services, said the acquisition will enable the OEM to diversify its range of digital services and widen its portfolio offering for customers.</p>
