Airbus Net Profit Up 34% In H1 2015

Airbus has reported its net profit for the first half of 2015 increased by 34 per cent year-over-year to $1.6bn.

Airbus has reported its net profit for the first half of 2015 increased by 34 per cent year-over-year to $1.6bn.

The firm’s revenues rose by six per cent compared with Q1 2014 to $31bn, owing to the strong performance of its commercial aircraft division.

Airbus said it received 348 net orders for commercial aircraft in H1, compared with 290 for the same period last year.

Tom Enders, Airbus CEO, said the OEM will focus on operational priorities, including the ramp up of the A350, to further enhance profits in the second half of the year.
