The Airbus Group is to sell a further 1.38 million of its shares in Dassault Aviation – approximately 15 per cent of the firm’s total shares.
Dassault will purchase around 460,000 of the shares at a maximum price of €980 ($1,073) per share, in accordance with an agreement signed on November 28, 2014.
The French state has elected not to exercise its right of first refusal for the shares which Airbus acquired through its purchase of French aerospace firm Aerospatiale.
Airbus will continue to hold up to 27 per cent of Dassault Aviation’s share capital associated voting rights following the closing of the deal. The final terms are expected to be announced later this week.
