Metals manufacturer Alcoa has completed its acquisition of RTI International, a supplier of titanium parts for the aerospace sector.

Metals manufacturer Alcoa has completed its acquisition of RTI International, a supplier of titanium parts for the aerospace sector.

The deal, first announced in March, was completed on Wednesday (July 22) and is valued at $1.5bn.

Alcoa said buying RTI will expand its reach in the titanium market. It follows the firm recently signing a contract to supply titanium components for the fuselage on the A350 programme.
