Alcoa Wins $1.5bn GE Supply Contract

Metals manufacturer Alcoa has signed a long-term agreement with GE Aviation for aircraft engine components in a contract valued at more than $1.5bn.

Metals manufacturer Alcoa has signed a long-term agreement with GE Aviation for aircraft engine components in a contract valued at more than $1.5bn.

Under the terms of the deal, New York City-headquartered Alcoa will supply advanced nickel-based super alloy, titanium and aluminium components for a broad range of GE Aviation engine programmes.

In a statement released on Monday (January 11), Alcoa said it will produce the parts at its facilities in the US, Canada and France.
