Aviall To Take Up To 36 CF6-80A Engines From GE Aviation

Boeing subsidiary Aviall has signed an agreement to acquire up to 36 CF6-80A engines powering the 767 and A310 aircraft from GE Aviation.

Boeing subsidiary Aviall has signed an agreement to acquire up to 36 CF6-80A engines powering the 767 and A310 aircraft from GE Aviation.

Aviall said the change in ownership of the engines builds on a distributor agreement it launched in 2005, which has seen the Dallas-based firm forecast, order and deliver all OEM replacement parts unique to the CF6-80A.

“The addition of used-serviceable materials support for the GE CF6-80A will greatly benefit the end customer,” said Sheena Mitchell, Aviall’s vice-president of commercial engine and rotor-wing programmes.

“This continued expansion of our relationship with GE, in conjunction with the extension of offerings for the CF6-80A programme, will help us further extend the depth of service we are able to offer.”
