Boeing And SPEEA Agree Tentative Six-Year Contract

Boeing said on Wednesday (January 13) that it has entered into a tentative agreement with union the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) covering nearly 21,000 engineers and technical staff.

Boeing said on Wednesday (January 13) that it has entered into a tentative agreement with union the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) covering nearly 21,000 engineers and technical staff.

The tentative agreement includes average five per cent salary increases for staff from 2017 to 2022 while adding new provisions for SPEEA members whose jobs are moved elsewhere.

After the SPEEA’s executive board endorsed the offer, it will now be put up to a vote of the union’s membership which will close on February 27.

Ray Conner, Boeing vice-chairman and head of its commercial aircraft division, said: “This tentative agreement recognizes the significant contributions of our engineering and technical workforce and reinforces Boeing’s commitment to the Puget Sound region.”
