Airbus and Boeing have both confirmed that aircraft deliveries in 2014 are up on 2013, but Boeing appears to be edging ahead of its rival. Airbus has delivered 303 aircraft since the start of 2014, a 2.7 per cent increase on the same period last year. The company is set to match the 626 deliveries it made in 2013. On the order front, the company has seen 209 A320 orders including an undisclosed customer order for 70 A320neos. Boeing meanwhile delivered 342 aircraft in the first six months of 2014, a 7 per cent improvement on 2013. The company has seen 30 787 deliveries compared with just four in the first half of 2013. 777 deliveries however, remained unchanged at 24.
