Boeing Completes 787-10 Design Details

Boeing confirmed on Wednesday (December 2) that it has completed the detailed design of its 787-10 aircraft.

The Chicago-headquartered OEM said this now means that information needed to build parts and tools for assembly can now be released for fabrication or procurement.

Final assembly of the aircraft is scheduled to begin in South Carolina in 2016 with first delivery planned for 2018.

The 787-10 currently has 164 orders, including 30 from Singapore Airlines and 25 from United Airlines.
