Boeing has rolled out its first 737NG built at the increased rate of 42 aircraft per month. The 737-800, which will be delivered to Airberlin and then leased to Transavia France, was completed at Boeing's factory in Renton, Washington on 20 March. The aircraft will undergo functional, systems and flight-testing over the next three weeks before being delivered. Since 2010, production of the Next Generation 737 has risen by about 33 per cent, from 31.5 to 42 aircraft a month. The rate is scheduled to increase to 47 aircraft a month in 2017.
