Boeing have announced that 737 production rates will increase to 52 per month in 2018, surpassing previously announced plans to build 47 airplanes per month in 2017.

This increase is in response to Boeing’s own air traffic and aircraft
demand forecast which projects a need for more than 25,000
narrowbodies over the next 20 years, worth $2.56trn.
Boeing currently produces 42 737s each month at its factory in Renton, Washington.
