Bombardier has confirmed the CSeries (CS100) aircraft has finished all noise performance tests and 85 per cent of the programme's overall testing is now complete.

In an update released on Thursday (September 10), the Canadian OEM said the tests confirmed the CS100 to be the quietest commercial jet in its class.

Bombardier also revealed the first production CS100 aircraft will soon commence function and reliability testing, signalling the start of the final flight testing phase.

The CS100 is scheduled to enter into service in the first half of 2016, with Bombardier so far booking orders and commitments for 603 of the aircraft, including 243 firm orders.
